Finishing the chores that got away

My name is Jay. I'm a DIYer, a flea market junkie, and a dumpster diver - to name a few. I appreciate solid design and thoughtful craftsmanship. I prefer to repair and restore rather than to replace. If you're like me, what I need or want is rarely sitting on a shelf at the store. That's how all of this started.

I worked for 15 years in manufacturing and another 18 years in tech. And, in that time, I have renovated or restored every apartment, house, or property I have lived for those 30-some years. I haven't seen everything. But, I have seen and done a wide range of things.

Experience has taught me there are things I shouldn't touch. A licensed tradesperson is in your better interest for any major water, electrical, or structural work. When you need a fence mended, a hedgerow built, the gutters cleaned, a cabinet repaired, a table refinished, a sidechair glued, a patio set re-woven, or a flea market find refurbished - that's where I fit in!
